Some pictures of the latest action in my Fescennia campaign: the Battle of Nouveau Oiseau, 1820. Nemea vs. Arcadia, the former acting on the defence, the latter on the attack. Nemean troops wear red, Arcadian white or yellow.
The Nemean left and centre.
Figures are Hinchliffe 25mm Prussian infantry, cavalry and artillery.
The hills are of the home-made "steps" variety; the houses are Sarissa MDF models kindly painted for me by Steve Tunmore (see his blog Tunnies Terrain);
the trees are home-made or generic model railway types.
The Nemean right wing.
Figures are Hinchliffe 25mm Prussian infantry and lancers.
The road sections are felt-backed and was bought many years ago from TSS.
The Arcadian left wing.
Figures are Hinchliffe 25mm French infantry and Perry Miniatures 28mm French
hard plastic dragoons.
The river sections were bought from TSS and a convention stand many years ago.

Arcadian right wing.
Figures are Hinchliffe 25mm French infantry and Perry Miniatures 28mm hard plastic
French dragoons and Victrix 28mm hard plastic French infantry.
Some of the action: Arcadian infantry regiments in column attacking a Nemean regiment in line.
Arcadian dragoons and Nemean hussars engage one another.
Perry Miniatures 28mm French and British hard plastic figures.
Nemean dragoons put Arcadian infantry to flight.
The yellow counter shows the unit is in rout; the white counter shows it is unformed.
Arcadian dragoons fighting with Nemean heavy dragoons.
Nemean lancers.
All cavalry units in the Fescennia campaign have 12 figures,
each having two officers, one standard bearer and nine troopers.
Nemean cavalry reserves - dragoons nearest; heavy dragoons furthest.
Nemean infantry regiment.
All line and guard units in the Fescennia campaign are 24 figures,
each having three officers, one standard bearer and twenty men.
Arcadian light infantry engage Nemean line infantry as columns of Arcadian line infantry and grenadier infantry move up to the attack, supported by dragoons. Light infantry and grenadier regiments have 16 figures each in the Fescennia campaign, with two officers and fourteen men.
Fighting on the Nemean right flank. The Nemean reserve infantry regiment behaved well, fighting on until broken by repeated charges; the Nemean lancers behaved ignominiously, running off without engaging the enemy!
Columns engaging line on the Nemean right flank.
The Arcadian Guard Grenadier Regiment.
These are Hinchliffe 25mm French Old Guard, some of the first metal figures I ever
bought over forty years ago; they were sold in a stamp collectors' shop in Windsor,
Berkshire, not far from the castle.
A view from behind the Arcadian left wing before it began to advance.
Another view from behind the Arcadian left wing as the infantry start too cross the river.
The Arcadian left wing commander and his ADC leading their troops
(an Essex 25mm French Guard Heavy Cavalry officer figure and a Perry Miniatures 28mm
French Dragoon officer figure).
