After a bit of an interval (work and holidays), here are some pictures from my latest Fescennia campaign battle, Chimare 1820, involving Arcadia and Nemea. The former are on the defence, the latter on the attack. The game was rather a see-saw affair, with Nemea expecting a clear victory, but in the end, when time was called, the Arcadians were hanging on, but in a very precarious position, outflanked and closely-pressed from behind.

The action begins.
Local sheep's wool taken from wire fences makes good smoke for photographs! The rather bright green hills are a work in progress - either to cover them in flock or get some darker paint! Stepped hills like these have been around since the early days of wargaming.
