More pictures from the Battle of Rindheim:
A view from behind the Arcadian line as the Nemean assault approaches.
In the foreground, the Nemean hussars retire under the 50% rule, having overrun the Nemean battery, while the respective light infantry units have also fallen back behind their supports.
One of the Nemean flanking columns appears on the battlefield: two line infantry regiments with their general and his ADC.
The Arcadian infantry open musketry fire all along the line. The red counter by the nearest Nemean column means it is "Unformed", owing to 10% losses or more in one turn.
The Nemean columns all charge up the steep hills to contact, urged on by generals and ADCs.
The central Arcadian unit (the 2nd Line) is attacked by three Nemean columns (Nordstadt and Saatkräheburg Musketier Regiments and Südprovinz Grenadier Regiment).
The Arcadian 8th Line Regiment defends against the Nemean Zaunkönigburg Musketier Regiment.
Arcadian heavy cavalry - the 4th Cavalry Regiment (Cuirassiers).
Officers have black crests on their helmets.
The 2nd Line Regiment is pushed back by the Nemean attackers, but in the foreground, the 3rd Line Regiment repulses the Tauchendorf Musketier Regiment.
The Erymanthian troops arrive on the field to support their Nemean allies: two infantry regiments followed by a light infantry regiment. Their commander and his ADC are in the foreground.
Fierce exchanges of musketry fire!
Fighting near Rindheim between the Nemean flanking column and the Arcadian reserve brigade.
The Nemeans have captured the central hill in the Arcadian main line. Behind them can be seen the Arcadian 2nd Line Regiment being conducted into captivity, it having surrendered after a very poor morale throw! The dice next to the Nemean regiments indicate the number of turns before they can make another charge.
The Arcadian 8th Line Regiment exchanges volleys with the Nemean Zaunkönigburg Musketier Regiment. The latter cannot charge again for three turns, as the die shows, and they are "Unformed" (red counter) and have just failed a Morale test (Black counter).
The fighting along the hills continues, with the Arcadians bringing up reserves
to halt the Nemean breakthrough.
The Arcadian 2nd Grenadier Regiment fires on the approaching Erymanthian column. At the top left, the Arcadian 8th Line Regiment holds off the Erymanthian dragoon regiment.
The Erymanthians prepare to attack the Arcadians.
From across the river, an Erymanthian howitzer battery begins to shell the distant
Arcadians near Rindheim.
Another Erymanthian battery from across the river causes havoc amongst the
Arcadian 2nd Grenadier Regiment and 1st Line Regiment.
The Arcadian 6th Line Regiment halts the Nemean breakthrough with its volley firing.
The Nemean assault is brought to a standstill as the fighting descends into musketry exchanges.
The Erymanthian columns deploy and advance, although their dragoons made no headway against the Arcadian 8th Line Regiment on the hill!
The Nemean flanking column was beaten back by the Arcadian reserve brigade.
Here Arcadian light infantry are skirmishing with Nemean line infantry.
The Arcadian line has held, with Nemean infantry units falling back under the 50% rule.
The last volleys before the Nemeans had to abandon the central hill, owing to their losses.

Another battle from my Fescennia "Napoleonic imagi-nation" campaign: the Battle of Rindheim, 1820. The Nemeans, along with their Erymanthian allies, attempt to halt an Arcadian invasion. I fought the battle solo, given the present lockdowns, etc., and it ended in a draw, although the Arcadians had a slight advantage. Old School rules and style of terrain, all figures individually based (see my Fescennia page for more background to the campaign).
An aerial view of the battle, with the Arcadian force already in position. The river was impassable, hills were all steep, the bridge was, unbeknown to the Nemeans and Erymanthians, had been destroyed. The roads are new, bought from TimeCast, very easy to paint.
A view along the battlefield from behind the Arcadian position.
The Arcadian reserve at Rindheim: line infantry in white greatcoats, light infantry in blue greatcoats, with a regiment of cuirassiers, as well as generals with their ADCs. The infantry are 25mm Hinchliffe metal or 28mm Perry Miniatures hard plastic; the cavalry are Perry Miniatures.
A view along the Arcadian front line, line infantry and artillery on the hills, along with supports, light infantry forward in skirmish order.
Another view of the Arcadian front line, with the reserve brigade in the distance.
A close up of an Arcadian line infantry regiment (the 8th) with a 6pdr battery. All gunners and riflemen are mounted on larger bases then the line and light infantry.
Another Arcadian line infantry regiment (the 2nd), with the 1st Line in support behind. Each Arcadian line infantry regiment has different facings, reflected in their regimental standard.
The Nemean army lined up ready to assault the Arcadian front. Fusiliers in skirmish order ahead of columns of line infantry and grenadiers, with a battery of artillery and a regiment of hussars.
The view from the Arcadian line towards the Nemean force. All the infantry are 25mm Hinchliffe metal figures; the cavalry are Perry Miniatures 28mm hard plastic.
The Nemean advance begins, with the opposing light infantry units skirmishing with each other.
The Nemeans have crossed the stream; each side had brought their artillery into action, and the light infantry fight has continued, with severe losses on both sides!
A view from behind the Arcadian front as the Nemean columns advance.
The Nemean cavalry (the Kraheburg Husaren Regiment) charge the Arcadian No.1 Battery. From their initial deployment, the cavalry either had to go forward or stand and be shot to pieces. So they went forward, charged up the steep hill, the artillery rolled a miserable canister die, and the hussars overran the guns and killed the gunners! However, by that time they were down to 50%, so under the rules they had to retire from the battle. It was one of the view bright spots for the Nemeans!
More to follow!

A couple of items from my Petaudia campaign:
A mercenary light cavalry unit, the figures being Gripping Beast
25mm hard plastic Arab cavalry.
Figures are Perry Miniatures 25mm hard plastic knights and 25mm Essex Miniatures metal spearmen.
Some additional scenery for my Avrupan sci-fi campaign:
All the pieces are made from a variety of objects: plastic food boxes, tin can, plastic straw, plastic bottle top, plastic tubes, pins, plastic card, pump filter, plug covers, plastic-coated wire. I paint all the buildings for Avrupan in grey colours.
A destroyed building. The original was part of a plastic household air freshener.
A foliage item, made from plastic fish tank foliage, with cork boulders and sand and grit base.
And also an aircraft model:
The model is a ground attack VTOL-type which I bought years ago from Antenocitis, I do not think they still make it. The base is made from a plastic bottle top filled with sand for weight, covered in sand and grit, with some rocks and a piece of foliage. The upright is a rigid metal rod.

Another action from Fescennia: the Battle of Aussaat, 1820. The Arcadians are invading Nemea, crossing the Westenfluss, having repulsed a Nemea invassion of their territory. For more about my Fescennia campaign, see the Fescennia page.
An aerial view of the battlefield. The Arcadians have to cross the river along the north edge of the battlefield at the bridge, the Nemeans are defending the villages and bridges along the stream running from north to south. The latter are also expecting reinforcements to arrive from the western edge of the battlefield.
Arcadian line infantry with general and ADC. Infantry and general are Hinchliffe 25mm metal figures; the ADC is a Perry Miniatures hard plastic 28mm figure.
The Arcadians approach the first bridge and village, defended by Nemean fusiliers - light infantry. All Hinchliffe 25mm metal figures.
The Arcadian infantry have taken the first bridge, pushing back the Nemean fusiliers, but a Nemean reserve infantry regiment is hurrying forward in support. A long queue of Arcadian infantry and artillery can be seen crossing the river bridge in the background. All Hinchliffe 25mm metal figures.
An Arcadian grenadier regiment nearest the camera, artillery and infantry heading for the first bridge. The grenadiers are metal 25mm, but I do not recall the manufacturer, having had them for years!
Another Arcadian infantry regiment. Each Arcadian infantry unit has a different facing colour which is reflected in its standard. Hinchliffe 25mm metal figures once more.
And yet another Arcadian line infantry regiment.
This time the figures are Victrix 28mm hard plastic figures.
A long column of Arcadian infantry heading west to counter the Nemean reinforcements.
The same column, now with dragoons (Perry Miniatures 28mm hard plastic figures) and artillery (Hinchliffe 25mm metal figures and gun) following behind.
The head of the Arcadian column deploys for action against the Nemeans.
Fighting at the first bridge.
The Arcadian battery bombards the village.
Nemean fusiliers skirmish with an Arcadian column of grenadiers.
The right hand Arcadian column comes under fire from Nemean infantry in line.
The assault goes forward.
Collision!
The first Nemean regiment was broken (fleeing in the bottom right of the picture)
but another moves up to meet the Arcadian columns.
At the east end of the battlefield, the Arcadians found a ford and pushed another column across the river. These are Arcadian chasseurs-à-cheval (in front) and guard hussars, all Perry Miniatures 28mmm hard plastic figures.
A close up of the chasseurs-à-cheval regiment. Officers have white shakos.
The closing stages of the battle on the Arcadian left wing. Their cavalry has outflanked the Nemean defenders, while light infantry and grenadiers press forward in support.
Arcadian dragoons. Perry Miniatures 28mm hard plastic figures. While the Arcadian infantry wear white uniforms, the cavalry mostly wear yellow.
Another shot of the Nemean fusiliers.
A Nemean hussar regiment. Perry Miniatures 28mm hard plastic figures.
Arcadian light infantry, closely followed by their general.
Nemean infantry in line.
Nemean reserve infantry in column.
