Some pictures of several units I have finished painting, both fictional and historical. From my Fescennia campaign first, cavalry, artillery and infantry from the country of Erymanthia:

Montados Granaderos de la Guardia. I needed a guard cavalry regiment for this country and decided some cuirassiers in bearskins would be an interesting idea! The bodies and horses are Perry Miniatures 28mm hard plastic French Cuirassiers; the heads are from Vixtrix 28mm hard plastic Middle Imperial Guard. The uniform is dark blue with yellow facings, although the blue tunic is rather bright in the photographs owing to the strong sunlight!

Bateria de la Guardia No.1.
The figures are very old, some that I have had for about forty years. They are Hinchliffe 25mm Russians with a Prussian 12pdr cannon. The uniform is dark blue with yellow facings and black collar.

Roble Mosqueteros Regimiento
 More Hinchliffe 25mm Russians.
The uniform is dark blue with sand yellow facings.

And now some historical units, these being two Spanish foot regiments from the 1670s. It is very difficult to find accurate and detailed information on uniforms in this period and I have relied upon sources for later in the 17th Century. The flags are just a guess. Information on unit standards is even more difficult to find!

Morados Viejos (Seville Regiment)
The figures are 28mm metal Phoenix Miniatures, which North Star used to sell, but for some reason no longer. However, the Sun King range of figures by the same company now have Spanish foot figures from this period.
